Imagine the future of legal work.

If law is code, lawyers are programmers...

and we think they should work like they are. At Juris we’re building tools for lawyers and legal professionals to let them work with the flexibility and efficiency of programmers. With our tools lawyers can solve for the number of people counseled, and not the number of hours billed.

Law is code...

Law is code for human interaction and agreement. Lawyers spend all day navigating that code to counsel their clients. Programmers also spend all day dealing with code. The Juris team is taking the lessons we have learned from decades of our own work in the law and with code, and applying them to legal practice.

Our vision of…

Modern Legal Work.

Gig Economy Flexibility

Juris is all digital, all remote. If you have an internet connected device, you can do legal work. Make your own hours. Work as much or as little as you like. Our system will never be based on billable hours. Answer more questions, build your reputation. Make more.

Digital Efficiency

Programmers don’t repeat tasks which they can automate. Programmers do not reinvent solutions when an agreed upon standard solution exists. We are building tools to help lawyers do the same.

Maximum Social Impact

GetJuris grew out of the work being done by the team at The Juris Project. We are dedicated to building a platform which incentivizes and monetizes getting the best legal help to the most people, protecting their rights, and increasing their access to justice.

Billable Hours don't scale.

You’re a lawyer. You have skills. We want to put them to use, but not by the hour. The billable hour is limiting. There are only so many hours in the day, and we believe the “billable hour” is a system that inherently incentivizes the wrong behavior. More hours should not equal more money. More output should.

This vision starts with our Juris Pro platform. Once you get an invitation you will be able to log in, verify you legal credentials, and know that you’re working alongside a community of fellow lawyers to build the future of the legal business.

Juris is not a law firm or a substitute for the advice of an attorney. Juris provides a self-help service with general information and assistance only. Juris cannot and does not provide legal advice. Your access to this website and use of this service is subject to our Terms of Service.
